Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wing Air Cadets
Exercise Look Ahead
Cadets and Staff from 2412 (Bordon & District) Squadron and 457 (Farnborough) Squadron spent the day with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) at Prince Philip Barracks Bordon yesterday.
The Cadets were able to get a taste of REME life by experiencing first hand what they do.
The day included a Bulldog (the armoured vehicle not aeroplane) experience tour, a vehicle recovery exercise, a visit to SEME (School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers) and an armament visit.
Cdt Kemp of 2412 said 'The best part of the day was the recovery experience where we had to winch a Landrover out of a ditch by hand'
The day itself was a total success. Our thanks go out to Cpl Skelton from REME who organised the day for us. We cannot wait until the next visit.
