Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wing Air Cadets
Flying Officer Linda Rogers of 1216(Eastleigh)Sqn has received a generous cash award of £2,500 to be given to a charity of her choice.
This was for being the British Airports Authority 'Employee of the Year' for services to the community and volunteering.
As well as being an Officer in the Air Cadet Organisation she is also an Olympic Volunteer Official.
Linda's lucky charitable cause was her very own squadron's funds and she is intending to spend some of the award on sports related equipment and activities.
The Squadron's O.C. Flt Lt Mike Lee was delighted with this generous donation. He was not surprised, as Linda has worked very hard for the cadets of the squadron, both as a valued member of staff and Deputy Wing Sports Officer.
