Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wing Air Cadets
Increasing Poppy awareness
Totton Cadets Charley Harding & Katie Baker chose to go one step further in remembering the fallen on Remembrance day by asking if they could wear their Cadet uniforms to School for the day to support and promote awareness of Remembrance Day at Regents Park Community College in Southampton. The girls wearing their uniforms at school aroused great curiosity which the girls wasted no time in taking the initiative to promote the Air Cadet organisation to the young people at the School.
The Deputy Head Mr Archibald commented that "It was tremendous that the two girls showed such individuality and commitment in arranging this activity". Headmistress Mrs Hill was only too pleased to have her photo taken with the girls at the School on the day and was very supportive of the actions shown by them to promote such awareness within the School community.
