Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wing Air Cadets
A Great Hendon Experience
Twenty one cadets from Hythe, Romsey and Hedge End Squadrons battled FA Cup Semi final traffic to have a great day at the Royal Air Force Museum at Hendon.
The cadets spent the day looking at aircraft from every period of the RAF’s existance and even had a chance to glimpse into the future with a full size model next generation F35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter which has recently joined the display.
Some of the cadets are undertaking their first class cadet training and the museum offered the perfect opportunity to see for themselves the development of flight and the history of the RAF.
An excellent if not long day was had by all and a big thank you should go to Flight Lieutenant Riggs the Squadron Commander at 2495 (Hythe) Squadron who organised the day.
