Hants & IOW Wing Training weekend
Staff and cadets from across the wing came together at HMS Sultan in Gosport, to complete a series of training courses to aid in their personal training and their Squadrons' development.
A total of twenty-six staff and cadets undertook the ACO's BASIC training which is designed to help them understand what is required of them as an over 18 year old cadet or as Civilian Staff Instructors. The course consisted of presentations and discussions including Safeguarding & Administration, and Health & Safety. Under the new 2 day Wing Induction Course training package, staff completed the Heartstart programme and Methods of Instruction (MoI) to provide them with the skills to return back to squadron to deliver the cadet experience.
Finally, a further fifteen cadets undertook the Methods of Instruction training. The MoI training will equipment cadets to deliver presentations and lessons on the squadron. With just an assessment to go, these cadets will earn their lanyard as Instructor Cadets.
Well done to all those staff and cadets that undertook the training.
