Former 1105 (City of Winchester) Squadron, Cadet Eliot Beddows won the Mayor of Aylesbury trophy

Former 1105 (City of Winchester) Squadron, Cadet Eliot Beddows won the Mayor of Aylesbury trophy for the best overall recruit for his whole intake at Recruit Training Squadron, Royal Air Force Halton. Eliot, a former Cadet Flight Sergeant ; left the Air cadet Organisation last October to pursue a career in the Royal Air Force as a Mechanical Engineer.

Aircraftman (AC) Beddows joined Air Cadets just after his thirteenth birthday and rose through the ranks to Cdt FS by the time he had left. He was an active member of the 1105 Sqn and the Wing. He led the Squadron drill team to success at the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wing Activities Day in 2013. AC Beddows also won the Cadet Non-Commission Officer trophy for the best drill squad commander.

On joining the RAF at RAF Halton in October 2013, AC Beddows undertook Phase 1 recruit training, passing out in December 13. AC Beddows is now at RAF Cosford completing his Phase 2 training to be a Mechanical Engineer.

Flying Officer Andy Pickering Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (Training); Officer Commanding 1105 (City of Winchester) Squadron said 'We are all very proud of AC Beddows and his accomplishments during his Phase 1 training and wish him all the best for his future career'.
