Duke of Edinburgh's Award expedition weekend on the IOW

Over 100 members of the Wing took part in 2 days of Duke of Edinburgh's Award expedition work on a gloriously sunny Isle of Wight. 87 cadets supported by wing and squadron staff undertook Bronze practice and qualifying expeditions covering a dozen different routes converging on Freshwater in the southwest of the island. High spirits and excellent teamwork made for a great weekend for all. Some interesting dress styles emerged from several squadrons - comments invited on the attached photos. Cadets are now looking forward to the next training weekend in early May when Silver practice and qualifying expeds are being planned. Thanks go to Flt Lt Noble and his team of ATC and RAF staff who made the weekend possiblework on a gloriously sunny Isle of Wight this weekend. 87 cadets supported by wing and squadron staff undertook Bronze practice and qualifying expeditions covering a dozen different routes converging on Freshwater in the southwest of the island.
